'Deadpool' Does It Again, Topping The Box Office With Another Record-Breaking $31.5 Million Weekend

Three weeks on, and it seems there is no stopping the Marvel juggernaut – it's now been confirmed that the movie has smashed records yet again, earning a colossal $31.5 million for the third consecutive weekend since its release.

By comparison, it seems that Deadpool even surpassed The Matrix Reloaded as one of the highest-grossing R-rated movies in the history of Hollywood. Pretty impressive, right? The superhero flick also overtook a series of newcomers this weekend, most notably the greatly anticipated Gods of Egypt, which reportedly cost approximately $150 million to make. Sadly, it only raked in half of what Deadpool made this weekend alone – $14 million.

Needless to say, I'm sure the team behind the movie are over the moon. The studio already embraced their unparalleled success last week with a bangin' party complete with chimichangas, a mariachi band and blow-job shots, so who knows how exactly they will celebrate this time round?
